This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what is and is not permitted when using the website, services, hosting, and any systems provided by Genesis Web Sols (“we”, “us”, “our”). It applies to clients, their end users, and any other person who accesses our website or the services and environments we provide (collectively, “you”). This AUP forms part of our Terms & Conditions, and a breach of this Policy is a breach of that Agreement.

1. Who This Applies To

This Policy applies to anyone who uses our website, requests our services, is granted access to a project environment, staging site, repository, or admin panel we manage, or uses any hosting, email, or other infrastructure we provide or administer on your behalf. If you are a business client, you are responsible for ensuring that your own employees, contractors, and end users comply with this Policy.

2. General Principle

You may use our website, services, and any systems we provide only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit the use of those systems by us or any other person. We reserve the right to determine, in our reasonable judgment, whether a particular use violates this Policy.

3. Prohibited Content

You must not use our services, hosting, or any system we manage to create, store, transmit, publish, or link to content that:

  • Is unlawful, or facilitates or promotes unlawful activity in any jurisdiction;
  • Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or sexually exploitative, including any material involving minors;
  • Is threatening, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory, or incites violence against any person or group;
  • Infringes any copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, or other intellectual property or proprietary right;
  • Violates any person’s privacy or data protection rights, including the unauthorized collection or disclosure of personal information;
  • Is fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to mislead, including phishing pages, fake storefronts, or counterfeit goods;
  • Promotes or facilitates pyramid schemes, unlicensed gambling, or the sale of illegal, counterfeit, or regulated goods without required authorization.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You must not, and must not permit or assist any third party to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, network, or data, including through credential stuffing, password guessing, or exploiting a vulnerability;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system without our express prior written consent;
  • Introduce viruses, malware, ransomware, trojans, worms, or any other malicious or harmful code;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of any system, network, or service, including through denial‑of‑service attacks or excessive automated requests;
  • Send unsolicited bulk email, spam, or engage in email or domain spoofing;
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security or authentication measure;
  • Use our systems to store or transmit material in breach of export control or sanctions laws;
  • Reverse‑engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from software we provide, except where permitted by law;
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract data from our website or systems beyond normal and permitted use;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Resell or sublicense access to hosting, software, or infrastructure we provide without our written consent.

5. Fair and Reasonable Use of Hosting and Support

Where we provide hosting, maintenance, or support as part of a plan, that plan is intended for normal business use consistent with the resources and hours described in your Proposal. We may apply fair‑use limits, and may raise, throttle, or charge separately for usage that is disproportionate to a plan’s typical use — for example, unusually high traffic, storage, bandwidth, or a volume of support requests well beyond what a plan anticipates. We will contact you before taking action wherever practical.

6. Security Responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping any credentials, API keys, and access we provide to you confidential, and for promptly notifying us if you believe an account or system has been compromised. You must not share admin‑level credentials with unauthorized individuals or store them insecurely. We may require you to reset credentials or enable additional security measures (such as multi‑factor authentication) where we reasonably believe access has been compromised.

7. Client Websites and Applications We Host or Maintain

Where we host or maintain a website or application on your behalf, you remain responsible for the legality of the content and functionality you direct us to publish or maintain. If we become aware that a site or application we host is being used in a way that breaches this Policy — including being used to send spam, distribute malware, or host infringing or unlawful content — we may remove the offending content, suspend the affected service, or restrict access, with notice to you where reasonably possible, in order to protect our infrastructure and other clients.

8. Monitoring

We do not routinely monitor content stored or transmitted through client systems. However, we may investigate suspected violations of this Policy, including reviewing relevant logs, traffic patterns, or content, where we reasonably believe a breach has occurred, where required to protect our systems or other clients, or where required by law or a valid legal request.

9. Reporting a Violation

If you become aware of a violation of this Policy — including abuse originating from our systems, or content you believe should not be hosted — please report it to info@genesiswebsols.com with enough detail (URLs, dates, description) for us to investigate. We will acknowledge reports within 3 business days.

10. Enforcement

Where we reasonably believe this Policy has been breached, we may, at our discretion and depending on severity:

  • Request that offending content or conduct be corrected or removed within a specified timeframe;
  • Temporarily suspend access to hosting, environments, or services;
  • Remove or disable specific content;
  • Terminate the service or Agreement, in line with our Terms & Conditions;
  • Report unlawful conduct to the relevant authorities;
  • Take any other action reasonably necessary to protect our systems, staff, or other clients.

Where the breach is serious — such as illegal content, active attacks, or malware — we may take immediate action without prior notice. For less severe or ambiguous cases, we will normally give you an opportunity to remedy the issue first. Suspension or termination for breach of this Policy does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to address new risks or legal requirements. The current version is always available on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of our website, services, or systems after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
